How NeoGraft Works

FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) is a hair transplant technique where individual hair follicles, typically 1-4 hairs, are extracted from the donor area (usually the back or sides of the head) and transplanted to areas experiencing hair loss. It's known for its natural-looking results and minimal scarring compared to older methods like FUT (Follicular Unit Transplantation).

Here's a more detailed breakdown:

What it is:

FUE involves surgically removing single hair follicles from the donor area using a small punch tool and then transplanting them to the recipient area (where hair loss is occurring).

Benefits:

Natural-looking results: FUE allows for precise placement of hair follicles, resulting in a more natural-looking hairline and hair density.

Minimal scarring:

Because individual follicles are extracted, FUE leaves behind small, pinpoint scars that are less noticeable than the linear scar often associated with FUT.

Shorter recovery time:

The minimal invasiveness of FUE can lead to a faster healing period compared to FUT.

Procedure:

Shaving the donor area: The donor area (where hair follicles will be taken) is shaved to allow for easier access and identification of individual follicles.

Extracting follicular units:

Individual hair follicles are carefully extracted using a small punch tool, leaving behind tiny, round scars.

Creating recipient sites:

The recipient area (where hair is to be transplanted) is prepared by making small incisions to accommodate the transplanted hair follicles.

Transplanting hair follicles:

The extracted hair follicles are then carefully implanted into the recipient sites.
